Singer/Songwriter NikkiMyNikki, born Nikki Lynne Hill on 11/02/1991, hails from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, CA. NikkiMyNikki was an honor student in academic as well as performing arts programs during elementary school. Her musical instrument of choice was the violin. Upon reaching Sepulveda Middle School, Nikki entered the drama class and participated in the after school dance program as well. By seventh grade, she was the head of her drama class and one of the youngest choreographers for her school‘s live showcases. In 2005, Nikki was accepted into the Cleveland Humanities Magnet Program for college entrance. Although a performing arts student, she maintained her academic standard of achievement. In her freshman year, she joined the Cleveland Cavalier cheerleading team, best in the Valley, and successfully challenged her choreography/ dance skills. She also joined an outreach program for African American students, “The Village” where she was given the opportunity to sing in front of the entire 9- 12th grade student assembly. Deeply inspired and encouraged, Nikki would now embark on her life’s musical ambition as a vocalist. At age 15, she received a scholarship for a two week program with renowned vocal coach Nicholas Cooper. “It was a most exciting and difficult time in my life”,she later reflected. Upon graduation, Nikki decided to take some time to pursue her musical aspirations and began working with Carl Graves at Sterling Silver Productions as a writer/vocalist. NikkiMyNikki joined the church choir at Lake View Terrace American Baptist Church, expanding her vocal experience. It was there that she met Brother Benjamin Wright, who saw her potential and became her mentor. With the work she’s done with Sterling Silver Productions and the mentorship of Benjamin Wright, Nikki is prepared for a quantum leap into her career. “My goal is that when you hear my music, you’ll hear a versatile, eclectic artist. I enjoy and identify with many musical genres from R&B-Hip Hop, techno and dance to alternative and contemporary. I feel that many have forgotten what the art of music really is, not one pigeon hole or another but the grand tapestry of MUSIC.
